Private jet catering is always an important topic…
when we welcome commercial cabin crew who would like to transition and to work as VIP cabin crew to our training courses. Business aviation catering is quite complex and it is something commercial cabin crew have never had to deal with it before. It depends on many factors including, the city for which the catering in required, the time when the catering order has been placed, the budget which is provided, any special event going on at this location amongst many others.
The number one event where most private jets are at the same place at the same time is the World Economic Forum, which happens every year in January in Davos, Switzerland and for this event catering orders have to be placed several days ahead of time. Sport events like the Formula One race in Monaco or the NHL close to Teterboro, outside of New York, present a similar challenge as everybody arrives shortly before, so it is important to be aware of these facts and to be organised to cope.
Certain cities in Europe are also far more expensive than others, due to their popularity and due to supply and demand. We therefore pay special attention to business aviation catering on our private jet cabin crew training courses, and we explain all the steps that have to be considered in order to get what you want, in time and for a price that is according to the budget provided. They also have to know how many courses are appropriate and what high quality culinary dishes are acceptable and which are not.
Cultural differences and religions also need to be considered and we therefore always provide real examples of catering orders for private jet flights during our VIP cabin crew training courses. Our aim is to provide the flight attendants with confidence by giving them real case scenarios and preparing them as much as possible for future interviews with business aviation companies, as this is often being asked in face-to-face interviews.
