The safety of clients is and always will be the most important for private jet cabin crew. So, they need to know a lot about all the safety issues that arise with the type of private jet they are flying on. As the only ones who can prepare the private jet cabin, they are there up to two hours before the flight, and sometimes even earlier if the flight time and the number of clients require it. Now, they’re making sure that all standard operating procedures are being followed, that all the gourmet food items, the supplies, and the amenities have been stored correctly, and that the cabin is ready.
Menus are written ahead of time, and the private jet cabin crew has to demonstrate her creativity when it comes to describing gourmet food items. This is similar to how dinner menus at high-end restaurants and 5 star hotels are written. The cabin crew on private jets must also know how to use the entertainment system, microwaves, and ovens that are onboard, and preparing beds for night flights is also their responsibility. Paperwork based on the country they are visiting has to be filled out and needs to be prepared, and they have to be very familiar with many different cultures and their specifics.
They have to be excellent communicators and always be willing to go the extra mile. Private jet cabin crew has to be very well organized and be immaculate in their personal presentation at all times. The work as a private jet cabin crew is much more demanding but also much more rewarding in many ways compared to commercial cabin crew.
